Power Infrastructure

Commercial power distribution and continuous filtering and conditioning provide clean, constant power to protect your valuable systems.

Power Distribution

  • Commercial power is provided from two separate BGE substations.

  • Two 13kV commercial Power lines.

  • Shares the power feed with the Baltimore City Fire Department and receives priority restoration in the event of an outage.

 

Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS)

  • Redundant APC 320 kW units.
  • Two battery cabinets.
  • 128 APC batteries per cabinet.

Backup Generator

  • During power failures, a massive 1 Mega Watt generator is onsite to provide power to the data center. 

  • An emergency commercial fuel contract is in place to refuel the generator hourly during extended outages.
